Who We Are...

Sunriver Christian Fellowship is a partnership venture in faith sponsored by the All Saints of the Cascades Episcopal and Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran congregations, welcoming and including persons of all denominations.

A gathering of people from diverse Christian traditions, we share a belief in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Risen Savior, and are committed to the Holy Eucharist as a manifestation of this belief and the foundations of our worship service.

SCF is characterized by an actively participating congregation, which is served by dedicated lay and clergy leaders. Our members are determined that the life of Christ and the word of God will guide us in all we do. We will remain flexible in our actions and strategies to follow where Jesus leads us.

Partnership in Education

Sunriver Christian Fellowship is committed to assisting young people and adults living in South Deschutes County in their effort to obtain higher education training as a means of securing better vocational opportunities. A five-person scholarship team is responsible for selecting and awarding scholarships to qualified applicants.

Scholarships are available to two different age groups:
(1) High School Graduating Senior/College-Age Young Person.
(2) Adults going back to school for training in a new vocational field.

All scholarships function on a funds-available basis for a specific academic school year.

SCF Pictorial Web Page Info

NEW --- "Website" Pictorial Directory Changes

Do you suffer from “disconnectionitis?” Symptoms of this malady include – hearing a name but not able to connect a face with it; or, seeing a person but not remembering their name, particularly if they are new to SCF.

With many new people joining SCF, this malady becomes a more-than-I-like-to-admit problem. Many churches, including SCF, have used a pictorial directory as one way to remedy this malady. However, as soon as they are printed, they become outdated because new faces show up, and the expense to keep printing new pictorial directories in response to new people, is prohibitive.

After discussing several possibilities that would accommodate updating the site quickly with new additions, easy to access, and is financially feasible, the Communication Ministry has come up with this solution. We will still use the website as the place where we have a pictorial directory, but with these improvements: The SCF Pictorial Directory will not necessitate a password to get into it. A link on the website’s front page will take you immediately to it.

Dealing with confidentiality, the only content on the new pictorial site is a picture and name(s). No other personal information will be included. We have the printed directory for that purpose. It is regularly updated and printed every 6 months. In between printings, any changes to one’s personal information that the church office receives will be included in the monthly newsletter.

If you want to be included in this new Pictorial Website Directory, you only need to do one of 2 things:
1--Submit a recent digital picture and your name(s) to Roger Smith, SCF’s webmaster

If you would like SCF to take your picture and put it in the Pictorial Directory, contact Gregg Henton, Communications Chair – This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , and that will be arranged. Then send the digital picture with names to Roger Smith This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you have any questions, talk with Roger or Gregg. Thanks for your assistance.
