Who We Are...Sunriver Christian Fellowship is a partnership venture in faith sponsored by the All Saints of the Cascades Episcopal and Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran congregations, welcoming and including persons of all denominations. A gathering of people from diverse Christian traditions, we share a belief in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, as our Risen Savior, and are committed to the Holy Eucharist as a manifestation of this belief and the foundations of our worship service. SCF is characterized by an actively participating congregation, which is served by dedicated lay and clergy leaders. Our members are determined that the life of Christ and the word of God will guide us in all we do. We will remain flexible in our actions and strategies to follow where Jesus leads us. AlphaAlpha The second half of the Alpha program will begin Monday, January 30, 2012, 6-8:30 pm, and runs for five weeks concluding on February 27th. It follows the same format as the fall, Alpha, Part 1, series beginning with dinner, a DVD topical presentation, and group discussion. In addition, Alpha, Part 2 is preceded with a Friday evening-Saturday weekend retreat, January 27-28 to be held at the Bennington’s home in Sunriver. Cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple for the retreat. Sign-ups for both the retreat and 5-week course will begin on Sunday, January 8th. Alumni are welcome to join. Partnership in EducationSunriver Christian Fellowship Sunriver Christian Fellowship is committed to assisting young people and adults in achieving their educational goals. To help facilitate this aspiration, SCF’s Management Board approved a Scholarship Program called Partnership in Education (PIE). As Education Ministry Team leader, Pastor Rob Pearson coordinates this effort and chairs a 4-person committee responsible for selecting and awarding scholarships to applicants who demonstrate a strong motivation to achieve higher education goals. Two different scholarship options are being offered. In both cases, interested persons are to complete an application form and participate in a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee.
